Carried Away |
Carried Away In the sweet moonlight I hear the gentle voices of the night. I see the crystalline starlight Reflected on the placid lake, And feel the chill of autumn's embrace.
Enfolded in the nocturnal passion, A wild wanderlust beats in my chest. My spirit soars above the treetops To gain stealthy advantage Over its mortal prey, Unwary at the rocky water's edge.
Too late, I sense a silent attack And am caught in desperate talons. I am carried aloft on wings Of primal imagination To the dizzying height of A wispy cloud as it Slowly eclipses the moon. |
