A Message
From Kim
Hi Friends,
A whole new chapter in my life and music is unfolding,
as I have moved to Nashville, TN. I have a beautiful home in
Brentwood, just south of Nashville.
It is a lovely area of rolling green hills, mature trees, pasture land
and meandering streams.
Many of the folks in the music industry live here and I
am meeting some people I have long admired, including Michael McDonald,
Ricky Skaggs, Pat Coil (and old friend and keyboardist from Missouri)
and others. I am writing a lot of new music, and I find the
serenity of my new home and ideal place for
inspiration.
I have renewed an acquaintance with legendary bassist,
Charlie Hayden, also a native of my hometown of Springfield, MO.
Charlie was a friend of my dad, John, and is here to return to his roots
with the revival of some of his old Hayden family music.
This place is called Music City, and I have to concur
with this appellation, as it has ignited a fire of heightened musical
awareness in me. This is certainly a pleasant and scenic ride.
For my jazz fans, I am working on a compilation
of original compositions for CD release, as well as a duo project with
pianist, Michael Melvoin, recorded at beautiful Soundtrek Studios in
KCMO.
Stay tuned for more revelations as this newchapter
unfolds.
Yours in song,
Kim Park
